Founded by late Arti Puri, a fervent animal activist, she started off with feeding few strays animals in and around our colony. Karan Puri Foundation was registered in the name of her husband who she lost after a long battle with Cancer. When she started Karan Puri Foundation, she had no idea how vast the problems facing animals were. The Foundation grew over the years in an effort to meet as many challenges as we could. Unfortunately, we lost her to COVID in May 2021. Since then, her daughter, Divya Puri has continued the foundation activities. Foundation mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and care for all abused, abandoned, sick and injured animals, large and small, left to fend for themselves in the streets. Today Foundation rescue hundreds of animals every year and we use their stories and our work to inspire and engage both the local community and people around the world. Karan Puri Foundation is a registered 12A/80G Trust that started in 2017, that supports animals across India.
To create a compassionate society where every stray animal receives the love, care, and respect they deserve — with a focus on rescue, rehabilitation, and lifelong support.
To rescue, rehabilitate, feed, vaccinate, and care for injured and abandoned stray animals. We aim to build a sustainable shelter and advocate for animal rights through community engagement and action.
We’re not just a shelter — we’re a movement of compassion, providing rescue, care, and dignity to stray and injured animals across India.
